Philip Kaplan is the co-founder of blippy.com. Blippy is a fun and easy way to see and discuss the things people are buying.
Based on a pretty provocative idea — it allows users to share all the purchase information from one of their credit cards – I doubt what the rationale behind this idea should be. Normally I register to each and every new social media service. And I’m used that people know what I’m doing, and where I’m doing the what. But what I’m buying seems to me to be a very private information, I don’t want to share with anyone. Any if I would be open minded to do so, what’s will be in for me? Probably nothing.
Philip says:
“When you buy things, you’ve always been sharing them with the credit card companies and the places you’re buying the stuff from,” Kaplan says. “No longer are only corporations able to benefit from this data, but the user is going to benefit from this data, too.”
Now, I would only know and understand what my benefit will be by sharing those information?
