Luxembourg causing significant traffic on the Internet

Most sites reveal the one and the other surprise but I have been particularly surprised to see my home country Luxembourg showing up on the “by Country” break down.

This traffic (>39.000.000 unique users) is not caused by a .lu domain, but solely to Skype, as the company is based in Luxembourg. Funny enough big traffic in Germany is caused by the RTL network. Even though RTL has its origin in Luxembourg, the RTL network is meanwhile managed from Cologne, Germany.
